What is #GiveBIG
#GiveBIG, a regional day of giving hosted by 501 Commons is happening this week! May 4-5 Friends of Ebey's will participate in this annual day of giving. Donors can either give through the #GiveBIG webpage or through Friends' own website via PayPal.
Friends of Ebey's is hard at work providing support to our beloved Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve. Cancelled fundraising activities has impacted Friends of Ebey's significantly over the past year. While Friends is honored to provide support for the Trust Board as they continue their important work of managing Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve, we rely on donations from people like you. If you can, please consider a donation to Friends of Ebey's during this time.

Your Impact
In addition to the Ebey's Forever Grant Program, your donations support important activities such as Junior Ranger Day, working with property owners to better understand benefits and incentives of historic preservation, and much more.
One project we are especially excited to feature is the creation of short videos featuring a handful of Ebey's Forever Grant Program recipients. These videos will not only be a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the grant program, but also serve as a way to expand the reach of our story telling to better educate people about the Reserve.

1.1 Million Reasons to Give
Did you know that the Trust Board is currently working with local grant recipients and agencies to administer the over $1.1 million it has secured to preserve historic structures within the Reserve and putting the community back to work? This includes funds from both the community-supported Ebey's Forever Grant Program as well as the WA State-funded Ebey's Preservation Grants. It's incredible.
As Allyson Brooks, State Historic Preservation State Historic Preservation Officer and Executive Director of the Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation acknowledged the uniqueness of the Reserve and the history it preserves: “In conjunction with the Ebey’s Reserve Trust Board, we are delighted to be able to provide support for the rehabilitation of [awarded projects within the Reserve]. Ebey’s Reserve is a unique historical entity and there is no other comparable historic landscape in the United States. We are grateful that the Washington State legislature recognized the historical importance of Ebey’s Reserve and provided the financial tools to maintain this nationally significant historic resource.”
